Οι κεντρικοί χαρακτήρες είναι εξαιρετικά δομημένοι, ο καθένας με την προσωπική του ιστορία, τα τραύματα του και τις αντιστάσεις απέναντι στα συναισθήματα που τρέφει για τον άλλον. Οι δευτερεύοντες χαρακτήρες είναι απίστευτα ενδιαφέροντες και μας προκαλούν την περιέργεια για τα δικά τους βιβλία (ω, ναι. Πιστεύω πως θα υπάρξουν).
Το βιβλίο επεξεργάζεται τα ζητήματα της διαχείρισης πένθους, το ψυχικό τραύμα, τον έρωτα, το τι σημαίνει οικογένεια για τον καθένα. Οι ερωτικές σκηνές είναι γεμάτες πάθος και με την γνωστή – λατρεμένη – οπτική της Swan.
Κάθε φορά περιμένω με αγωνία το νέο της βιβλίο και ποτέ δεν με απογοητεύει. Μέσα από το ταξίδι του Henley και της Juliet έχουμε την ευκαιρία να αναρωτηθούμε για τα δικά μας σκοτάδια και για το εάν η αγάπη είναι αρκετή σε μία σχέση, όταν το μυαλό δεν μπορεί να ακολουθήσει.

I really loved the new book by the incredible TL Swan and I think it is one of her most mature and well written books/works. The central characters are highly structured, each with their own personal history, traumas and resistances to the feelings they have for each other. The secondary characters are incredibly interesting and make us curious about their own books (oh yes. I believe we will see them in the near future).
The book deals with issues as grief management, trauma, love and what family means to everyone. The love scenes are full of passion and with Swan’s well-known – adored – perspective.
Every time I look forward to her new books and she never disappoints. Through Henley and Juliet’s journey we have the opportunity to question our own darkness and whether love is enough in a relationship when the mind cannot follow.
